Professor Masashi Yanagisawa has received Breakthrough Prize and attended the ceremony at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, USA in April 5 2025.
He was awarded with the prize back in 2023 but the ceremony was postponed due to COVID, and the Hollywood-style event was at last held this year for the 2023 awardees.
“I am glad that the field of sleep research has finally been recognized in a big way,” Yanagisawa said. The ceremony will be broadcasted in YouTube from April 12.
