R&D Project on sleep and hibernation has been selected as AMED Moonshot R&D Program

—Director Masashi Yanagisawa has been selected as a Project Manager of the AMED Moonshot R&D Program—

Prof. Masashi Yanagisawa, Director of International Institute for Integrative Sleep Medicine (WPI-IIIS) has been selected as a Project Manager of the Moonshot R&D Program to achieve the Moonshot Goal 7 “Realization of sustainable care systems to overcome major diseases by 2040, for enjoying one’s life with relief and release from health concerns until 100 years old”, driven by Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).

Under the leadership of Director Yanagisawa, all members of WPI-IIIS will be actively participating in our challenging project targeting “Realization of a society where everyone can prevent diseases spontaneously in daily life” and “Realization of medical networks accessible for anyone from anywhere in the world”, for the next 5 years.
