S’UIMIN Received ¥700 Million in Capital from Mirai Creation Fund
-Promoting Sleep Disorder Diagnostic Support Services for Medical Institutions and Healthcare Management Business-

S’UIMIN Inc., whose CEO is Prof. Masashi Yanagisawa, IIIS director, announced that it has raised ¥700 million in capital from Mirai Creation Fund operated by SPARX Group Co., Ltd. S’UIMIN began as a spin-out from the University of Tsukuba on October 17, 2017, and it was founded to commercialize the project sponsored by the Tsukuba Global Innovation Promotion Agency and Ibaraki Prefecture. The project was initially funded by the Program for Building Regional Innovation Ecosystems by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. The firm develops electroencephalography devices that are comfortable to wear and that produce information equivalent to those from all-night polysomnography (PSG). SUIMIN is also responsible for licensing technology developed through the research efforts of IIIS to the industrial sector.
