Which neuronal pathways regulates sleep/wakefulness states? – Functional and structural interactions between neurons in hypothalamus and in brain stem – (Published on the Journal of Neuroscience)

Researchers in IIIS revealed some neuronal pathways, which regulates sleep/wakefulness states, and identified the effects of molecules in brain such as orexin, histamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin on these neuronal pathways.

The article, “Monoamines Inhibit GABAergic Neurons in Ventrolateral Preoptic Area That Make Direct Synaptic Connections to Hypothalamic Arousal Neurons” was published online in The Journal of Neuroscience on July 11, 2018.
