How the mammalian brain sexually differentiates – hypothalamic Ptf1a confers the competence (Published on Cell Reports)

Scientists including IIIS Yanagisawa/Funato lab members, Dr. Tomoyuki Fujiyama and Dr. Hiromasa Funato, found that a transcription factor Ptf1a is expressed in the embryonic hypothalamus and involved in sexual differentiation of the male and female brains.
