A delegation from the Embassy of France in Japan visited WPI-IIIS
On February 5th, a delegation from the Embassy of France in Japan, led by Prof. Didier Marty-Dessus, Counsellor for Science and Technology, visited WPI-IIIS to discuss the promotion of scientific cooperation between France and Japan.
This visit was an opportunity to confirm that it would help to strengthen the ties between France and IIIS in advancing science.
Dr. Yanagisawa, Director, and Dr. Mochizuki, Administrative Director, gave an overview of IIIS and its research activities.
This was followed by a passionate discussion on the promotion of scientific and technological exchange between France and Japan. The Embassy representatives asked a variety of questions and engaged in discussions, leading to a fruitful exchange of ideas and insights.
French researchers (Dr. Cherasse and others) showed them around the research facilities.
